Aldous Huxley, author of "Brave New World", taught French to George Orwell, author of "1984", at Eton. Huxley wrote in a letter to Orwell that, while he respected "1984", he believed that his vision of dystopia in "Brave New World" was likelier to resemble the way things pan out in the world.
Enjoy celebrating your dad today, Caitlin. I agree with Clay, he's all around you. Earlier this morning, I was writing the same thing in my journal about my mom. Although I miss her and she's been gone ten years, she's with me every day. Every day she's a presence. Pixie to you!!!

Good Morning Clay and glisteners from Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, I returned from a cycle and a swim. I saw the reformed Dolls at Little Steven's Underground Garage in August of 2004. I just got to the office so forgive the late comment on a previously played song.... Cheese and Onions.
"The Rutles" came out when I was an impressionable pre-teen and I was bowled over by the hilarity of the project. The cast (the original SNL cast, PLUS many members of Monty Python's Flying Circus, was liteally the "Dream Team" of Comedy).
I was literally fixated on "Cheese and Onions" for much of my 7th grade. Scribbling it in my schoolbooks, singing it incessantly. Oh vey!
Hearing this blaring on my radio this morning, flying down the turnpike was another wonderful WFMU W&B moment.

Good Morning Clay and glisteners from Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, I returned from a cycle and a swim. I saw the reformed Dolls at Little Steven's Underground Garage in August of 2004. Sadly, it was just Johanssen and Sylvain. Kane had just died, so they dedicated many songs to them. That was a day! So many great bands and the tickets were really cheap, which is why, I guess, there was never another one.tonyb: Dolls … Heartbreakers. Now that a perfect segue!!

I just got to the office so forgive the late comment on a previously played song.... Cheese and Onions."The Rutles" came out when I was an impressionable pre-teen and I was bowled over by the hilarity of the project.
