as someone on the lennon side of the beatles lennon/mcartney-yin/yang (who does recognize mccartney's superior musicianship, etc.), I have always rolled my eyes at the transparently-PR-minded every move of paul mccartney. however, although *nothing* about him has changed, I have come to better appreciate him in these late years for just being what he is.
