hello everyone
i just noticed that there is a shop here in trasheville named 'veni, vidi, vinyl'. saw it yesterday, and swore there was a WFMU show with the same name. lo and behold, here we are.
any connection?
I’ve been putting together a set of songs I think are peeweesque. Turns out spy music is very Peewee, at least to me. Thanks for the reference book Roman!

David The Splatter:
Buongiorno, Roman and all. Glad to be here at the Space Age Bachelor Pad.
it's in west asheville (of course it is). next time i pass by i'll try to take a pic.
thought it was interesting. don't even know what kind of store it is (or maybe was)
i tried looking it up just now, found nothing. address should be 647 Haywood Rd, Asheville, NC 28806
looked up that address, looks like some kind of small performance venue. they might have just painted that slogan on the wall? no idea
I've never been to Asheville but it's one of the hearts of Appalachia for sure... I feel like Pittsburgh might be the Northern heart and Asheville the Southern one

The Country Music Hall of Fame I think is better than the rock hall

MHLee:
It was cool because when i went the exhibit was Dylan and the Nashville Cats... had things like the harmonicas from the Boxer

Asheville Jon:
ok, so curiosity got the best of me, so i drove up to see what it actually was. flic.kr...
slogan is slightly different, although when i saw it i did think of the show on FMU.
it's a place called "potential new boyfriend" www.potentialnewbf.com
I remember someone telling me they used "Tahiti Tamoure" by the Waikikis. That's one I often spin at Exotica and Tiki nights
