Song:
"Lie, Beg, Borrow And Steal" by "Mouse and the Traps"
When I think Tyler Texas (of recent times) I think truck stops & chain restaurants on the I35 frontage road...but Texas really was such a hotbed of great psych/fuzz music until the 80s/90s for sure...with some pretty cool current & younger acts that are still playing in that style these days...but mostly around Austin I guess.
We had Tang as well as the Canadian version "Rise n Shine" above the 49th. Consuming all those preservatives must have done the trick as we're still rawkin' (somewhat).
;-)
Only reluctantly purchased by my mother the once...they tasted like raw chocolate cookie dough...& were kind of pricey for a solo mum w/ 3 kids to feed.
Honestly...both Tyler & Waco must have the highest proportion of not-quite-afilliated-to-any-major-religion-i'm-aware-of "churches" I've ever encountered in my travels ...
Far too many pawn shops too...was also my first impressions for those towns.
