Big thanks to both Mike & Scot for being on the call for so long! It was a delight to talk to them. (And in Scot's case, again!)

One of the shows is at Moon Rock Records, in Eugene, which is an EXCELLENT record store. I might have to try and go to that one, and hey, if I buy a bunch of records too, oh well...

hi Austin and all.. (late login on chat.. we had a bit of a nap before radio-time)

Austin Rich:
The Portland show is at High Water Mark, a bar that is suspcisously close to The Ramen City Kid, if I'm not mistaken.
That is wise! I took a nap pre-radio tonight, too! But I also had to run the hour before me, so I've been on for four hours. It's been fun! Like old times.
We should pick one of the shows - either in PDX or Eugene - and go! I think you and I would really dig seeing it again. (And this time, I don't have to play!)
11:32pm
Geoff-U:
I played a show at the High Water Mark in the before times when I lived in Portland, it was a cool spot!
I love that bar. Good food, too. And, good shows, usually.
11:35pm
Geoff-U:
I should try to make one of the shows. Between the stupid car breaking down (the car has to be serviced in PDX because reasons) and friend's shows I have been going to Portland a *lot* lately haha

Geoff-U:
Speaking of buying records, I finally posted my latest Regional Processing Facility 7" on Facebook and my friend bought one and opted to throw in $10 extra, making this the most profitable RPF quarter ever at $17!
Hell yeah! I need to make another vinyl record. I was thinking of making a "three-way-split" and putting a song or two by three of my projects, on one record. But I have no idea if that is affordable these days.
11:40pm
Geoff-U:
...and I got 7 listens today after posting it, smashing all known records!
11:43pm
Geoff-U:
Two experimental noise songs I made - downloads are free!

Bandit:
Just gave it a follow! If I had a few extra bucks I would get the vinyl, maybe this coming pay day
🎸♥
11:45pm
Austin Rich:
I firmly believe that music like this could and would be just as well loved if it could be played on huge stages to big audiences. If it was given a chance. (And if there were less big bands sucking up all the oxygen for bands like this to get a chance.)
I have seen Negativland pack rooms doing what they do, so this sort of thing is definitely enjoy the collage/noise sort of thing
🎸♥
11:46pm
Austin Rich:
A friend of mine just band a 12" LP of their own music, and it sounds great. And they only had to make 50 copies to get a deal on the cost. If they end up selling most of them, they will make money. I'm tempted to try that.
Oh wow! If you could forward me the link to the record press that they used that would be awesome. I would like to make a 12" (and stereo would be fun plus, my lathe cuts are made on a very old mono lathe)
🎸♥
11:48pm
Austin Rich:
I mean, opening for Negativland was one of the biggest shows I ever played. That and opening for Mark on the tour we did together were some of the biggest crowds I played in front of.
11:48pm
Geoff-U:
Although I do like mixing to mono
I've seen Scot play this live a few times now, and it's always different. It follows some of the same structure, but there's always something different each time.
11:52pm
Geoff-U:
(not calling this wankery... you know what I mean)
11:53pm
Geoff-U:
I feel like I have heard this piece before... it's awesome
I hear you. There's a fine line between "wankery" and "compelling." I used to listen to guitar soloists as a kid. (Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, etc.) But you graduate to stuff like this, as you get older.
