I worked in a hi-fi shop in the eighties. We sold a lot of Thorens tables.We modified them by applying Duxseal (a non-hardening type of putty-like material used to seal ...ducts) on the steel plate suspended by three springs that supported the platter. Dramatic difference in sound quality, especially when paired with an after market mat like the Mission Mat or the Platter Matter.   8:55pm
