Mike was so good that night. I felt like he was acting a little feeble at first—and then did something to show that it was just an act. Like when Wonka comes out all creaky with the cane, pretends to fall, and does the somersault and jumps up.
Yes it totally felt akin to that Willy Wonka moment! You're spot on with that comparison. Mike definitely loosened up & was also hilarious. Such wit he had! What a great backing band too! We'll always remember that special night.

We are playing a festival in Utah, & have an album release show as well, also in Utah. Unfortunately we can't tour this summer to support the new LP, because Denney is the touring bassist for Neon Trees. They are going out with Goo Goo Dolls this summer. We Mellons are trying to work out a fall run on the west coast/mtn west though. WE will most certainly make a stop in LA! Thanks for asking.
