IT Home June 24 news, British classic sports car manufacturer Morgan recently launched its first hardtop model in over a decade, transforming the Midsummer convertible into a limited-edition hardtop two-door coupe, the Midsummer Coupé.

According to IT Home, the Midsummer Coupé worldwideonly 9 units will be produced, making it Morgan's first model with a fixed roof since the Aero 8 was discontinued in 2015.
Morgan's in-house body customization department will offer rich personalization options for each car, so the 9 Midsummer Coupés will all feature different configurations.
In terms of power, the Midsummer Coupé continues to use the platform derived from the Plus Six, with a maximum power of 250kWBMW inline-six engine, the fixed roof significantly alters the overall proportions of the vehicle. Morgan says the exclusive styling "fundamentally changes the vehicle's character."
The roof of the Midsummer Coupé is almost entirely made of a single glass canopy, with a striking central trim strip extending from the roof to the rear of the car. Morgan emphasizes that the roof is not merely for a change in appearance, but to enhance the interior refinement, practicality, and year-round usability, making it no longer suitable only for good-weather driving.
Furthermore, converting the originally roofless Midsummer into a hardtop model also required reinforcing the body structure. Morgan therefore installed A-pillars machined from a single piece of aluminum to maintain sufficient body rigidity.
