IT Home (IT之家) May 20 news, at the 2026 Google I/O developer conference held today (May 20), Google announced that Gemini is integrating C2PA content credentials, to better defend against deepfakes.
Sundar (桑达尔) said that SynthID has already added watermarks to 10 billion images and videos and 60,000 years of audio. It is reported that on the Gemini platform, "millions of people" are using SynthID.
And Gemini has now added integration of C2PA content credentials. Currently, SynthID and C2PA have been integrated in Google Search and Chrome browser. Users can circle images to search, or right-click on images in Chrome to ask if the image has been AI-edited.
Sundar (桑达尔) showed Gemini an AI image of him eating a burger with Elon Musk (埃隆·马斯克), Sam Altman (萨姆·奥尔特曼), and Jensen Huang (黄仁勋), and asked Gemini if it was AI-generated. "This is obviously fake, I don't eat burgers," he said.
