IT Home (IT之家) reported on May 20 that at today's 2026 Google I/O Developer Conference, Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the launch of the Gemini 3.5 Flash model, which outperforms the 3.1 Pro in many benchmarks. In terms of model output speed, compared to the Claude Opus 4.7 and GPT-5.5 xhigh models, Google's Gemini 3.5 Flash model achieves a 4x improvement, reaching 289 tokens per second.

Google's internal team also tested the Antigravity tool to build a new operating system from scratch. The entire project took 12 hours, launched 93 sub-agents, generated 2.6 billion tokens, and built a core that can run an operating system.
