<p>My nephew wanted to learn how to play <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DnD" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DnD</span></a>, so I put together a quick one-shot session for the cousins to kill some basement rats. I almost TPK&#39;d them in the first fight after some bad dice rolls but we recovered through some fuzzy math, improv, and a cursed dice check/re-roll. </p><p>My son solved the big riddle and my nephew nat-20&#39;d the big boss at the end. Rough start, great end. Super fun. Glad they&#39;re old enough now to enjoy it. They&#39;re already asking to play again.</p>
