The final slide carried the punchline, a photoshopped jersey that read “Cancun On” paired with Brooks’ No. 3 to spell out “Cancun On 3.”

The post doubled as a response to Brooks’ postgame remarks, where he accused Gilgeous-Alexander of “flopping and failing” and labeled him “frail.” Instead of responding directly, Gilgeous-Alexander let the result and the moment speak.

“Everybody wants to be villainous until the brooms come out and the dust settles and you realize who the villain is,” he wrote.

“Obviously, knowing Dillon, he’s a great competitor, great guy,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “No matter what people say about him, he’s a really good guy. So yeah, all that villain stuff, it doesn’t faze me. I know exactly who Dillon is.”
