The NASCAR Cup Series entry list for Talladega Superspeedway is now confirmed, setting up a rare situation before the green flag even drops. A total of 41 cars are entered for the 57th Annual Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, which means one team will fail to qualify. That is uncommon outside the Daytona 500.

The NASCAR Cup Series entry list shows how deep the field is, with full-time teams, returning veterans, and part-time entries all in the mix. FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass confirmed the full list. Qualifying will decide which four of the five open cars make the race, adding early pressure before race day.

Drivers such as Ross Chastain, Austin Cindric, and Austin Dillon are part of the confirmed field. The entry list also includes top contenders like Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Blaney.

Veteran drivers remain part of the NASCAR Cup Series entry list as well. Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott are both entered, adding more experience to the field. The NASCAR Cup Series entry list reflects the usual mix of championship contenders and established race winners. Talladega Superspeedway is known for pack racing, and every driver listed will rely on drafting to stay competitive across the full distance of the Jack Link’s 500.

Open-Car Battle Decides Final Spots

The NASCAR Cup Series entry list also brings attention to the open-car battle. Five drivers are listed for four available spots, which guarantees that one entry will not make the race. The drivers in this group are Jesse Love, Joey Gase, Casey Mears, Chad Finchum, and Daniel Dye.

Jesse Love drives the No. 33 for Richard Childress Racing. Joey Gase returns in the No. 44 for NY Racing Team. Casey Mears competes in the No. 62 for Beard Motorsports. Chad Finchum is entered in the No. 66 for Garage 66. Daniel Dye drives the No. 78 for Live Fast Motorsports. Qualifying will decide which four of these cars join the main field. The last time a non-Daytona superspeedway had a similar situation was in 2018.

Depth Across Teams Adds Competition

The NASCAR Cup Series entry list also includes part-time and additional entries beyond the open cars. John Hunter Nemechek and Erik Jones are listed for LEGACY MOTOR CLUB. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is also part of the field.

The NASCAR Cup Series entry list features 41 cars from a range of organizations. These include established teams like Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing, as well as smaller teams such as Garage 66 and Live Fast Motorsports.

Talladega Superspeedway remains one of the most unpredictable tracks on the schedule due to its high banking and long straights. The NASCAR Cup Series entry list confirms that every team will prepare for drafting conditions and close racing throughout the Jack Link’s 500.
