Russell Westbrook attended the 2026 MET Gala with a simple yet bold look to reaffirm his marquee fashion sense.
Westbrook showcased an all-blue outfit from the coat to his pants. He also had shiny buttons, pins, rings, and necklaces with no shirt underneath.
He topped it off with a neat pair of black leather shoes to complete the striking outfit.

According to his Instagram post, Westbrook’s outfit was sponsored by clothing brand Gap and Creative Director Zac Posen. Jewelry was then from Tiffany and Co.
Westbrook, known for his fashion statements during pre-game walk-ins, was among the several NBA stars who attended the MET Gala this year, including Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Dwyane Wade.
The gala also included WNBA stars Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, and reigning MVP A’ja Wilson.
Westbrook wrapped up his 18th NBA season this year, playing with the Sacramento Kings, a team that only won 22 games.

Russell Westbrook has accomplished a lot in his 18-year career in the NBA, highlighted by an MVP campaign in 2017 with the OKC Thunder.
Now in the twilight of his career, Westbrook is still looking to extend his professional basketball life as he targets to play 20 years in the league.
“I have a bunch of people that support (me) in my entire career, and also a bunch that don’t,” Westbrook said during his exit interview with the Kings. “I think the combination of both and of my family, who have been in my corner throughout my career since Day 1, allows me to be able to keep going until I can’t no more.”
“It’s God willing. If the opportunity presents itself, I’ll play until the end, but I’ll take it year by year. Hopefully, I’ll still play in 2028,” he added.
Westbrook has been jumping from one team to another since 2019, the year he was traded away by the Thunder.
He has yet to win an NBA championship, but many consider him to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
This year, Westbrook proved he can still be a capable contributor, putting up 15.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game this season for the Kings.
His future remains uncertain as his current contract with the Kings will expire in the offseason.

Raring to remain a part of the league, Westbrook wants his next contract to be with a team that truly wants him as he looks to contribute to a winning cause next season.
“There’s so many different things that have to align for you to be able to win a championship in this league,” Westbrook said. “But sometimes you can be in the position, and it don’t work out. That’s it. So for me, it’s just being in a place where I’m wanted, having fun, enjoying the game. To me, that’s what’s important,”
It remains to be seen whether Westbrook’s value remains desirable for the next offseason’s market.
