This offseason, Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow has become more of a celebrity. Burrow was in Los Angeles for more than just football-related events, as People reported on March 20 that Burrow was seen leaving an Oscars afterparty with Alix Earle and Tate McRae.

Moreover, the same outlet reported that Burrow and Olivia Ponton were spotted together at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic party in Los Angeles on March 19.

Despite Burrow’s rising celebrity status outside the football world, Orlando Brown Jr. didn’t hold back his thoughts on the 29-year-old. While the QB is becoming more of a celebrity, Burrow hasn’t changed in his eyes.

“I think, personally, he’s always been somebody that is what you see now,” Brown said on the April 13 edition of “Up & Adams.” “He didn’t always present that way to the public. And for whatever reason that is, I think what you’re seeing now is just his confidence and being who he truly is.

“That’s why you see him in Los Angeles [and] why you see him at some of these parties and walking in Paris Fashion Week. That’s who he’s always been. I wouldn’t say he’s changed. He’s just more comfortable now, maybe in front of the camera than he was before.

“I think at the end of the day, Joe gives his all for the city, man, and he loves being a Bengal. He loves what he’s doing for a living. And, like I said, it all comes down to winning. When we get in the playoffs and start putting ourselves in position to play in February, I think a lot of that kind of stuff would die down naturally.”

Moreover, Brown noted that he doesn’t need to talk with Burrow about any of the off-the-field gossip that surrounds the Bengals QB now that he’s been spotted with high-profile celebrities. For the most part, Burrow has only dealt with football media, but this offseason can now open it up to media outlets outside the sport.

“Honestly, I’ve never really spoken to him about it,“ Brown added. I just assume it’s part of the business. In today’s NFL, and even throughout NFL history, the media has driven the sport, and it’s what makes football football. It’s what makes American football so popular. These storylines are always great, but a lot of times they’re full of sh–.”

Meanwhile, Burrow took part in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, and he recently expressed his desire to become an Olympic athlete in the future, now that flag football is part of the Olympics.

‘” I’ve always wanted to play in the Olympics,“ Burrow said prior to his Wildcats FFC team going 1-2 in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic round robin (h/t Cincinnati.com). “I’ve never necessarily played an Olympic sport before, so when this got announced, I was pretty excited about it. 

“The opportunity to win a gold medal (is) something that I’ve thought about — a moment like that — for a long time, since I was a kid. I think it would be something very special.”
