Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Jaren Hall announced his retirement from the NFL.

Quarterback Jaren Hall is ending his football playing career.

Just a little more than three years after getting drafted in the fifth round, Hall announced his retirement through an Instagram post Wednesday.

In the post, Hall expressed how grateful he was of the opportunity compete in the sport he loved most.

“What I’ll carry most isn’t the milestones, but the people — teammates, coaches, family, and a community that supported me every step of the way,” wrote Hall.

“My heart is full as I close this chapter and finish my football career. I’m thankful to everyone who’s been part of the journey.

“The game has given me more than I could ever give back.”

Hall last appeared in an NFL regular season game during 2023. He played three games for the Minnesota Vikings, starting two of them. Hall completed 13 of 20 passes for 168 yards. He had no touchdowns and one interception.

The quarterback went 1-1 as a starter.

Hall never played for the Seattle Seahawks during the regular season. But he spent part of the 2024 campaign on the team’s practice squad.

During December 2024, the Seahawks promoted Hall to their active roster multiple times to serve as the team’s emergency QB3.

The Seahawks released Hall on April 29 last year. That was the last time the quarterback was on an NFL roster.
