Adoree' Jackson is visiting with the Cowboys.

Though he may not be in the facility, Adoree’ Jackson cannot seem to get too far away from the New York Giants.

The free agent defensive back is meeting with the Dallas Cowboys to potentially bolster their pass defense.

Jackson spent 2025 with the Philadelphia Eagles, playing opposite All-Pro Quinyon Mitchell. But Jackson struggled in his first year away from the Giants, since he played the previous four seasons with Big Blue.

The Giants played twice against Jackson’s team in 2025, but Jackson only played one game against New York. He did not suit up for the Eagles’ 38-20 win over the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field on Oct. 26 due to a groin injury.

Adoree’ Jackson is Meeting With the Cowboys

The Cowboys have been one of the worst teams at defending the pass in each of the past two seasons. They finished dead last in pass defense in 2025 (251.5), which is a big reason why they went 7-9-1.

Dallas had just six interceptions a season ago, with one coming against Russell Wilson in its overtime win over the Giants in Week 2 at AT&T Stadium. The Cowboys parted ways with cornerback Trevon Diggs in late December and are searching for his replacement to play opposite DaRon Bland.

Jackson played under Dallas’ first-year defensive coordinator Christian Parker, who served as Eagles defensive-backs coach in 2025. Parker, a Flemington, New Jersey native, was named Cowboys DC under coach Brian Schottenheimer on Jan. 22 to replace Matt Eberflus.

The Giants may welcome Jackson joining the Cowboys. Jackson struggled in 2025, drawing the ire of Eagles fans and earning the 89th-best grade (54.6) among 114 qualifying cornerbacks from Pro-Football Focus.

Jackson had only one interception in 2025 and made 55 tackles. He had 11 passes defended, which ranked third on Philadelphia.

But the Giants picked on Jackson in their 34-17 win over the Eagles on Oct. 9. Jackson had seven tackles and two passes defended, even though he didn’t start, and Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown.

Adoree’ Jackson is a Former Giants Starter

Jackson was a fixture with the Giants after spending his first four seasons with the Tennessee Titans. Jackson was the first-round pick of Tennessee from USC in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Jackson played 51 games with the Giants, starting 41, and posted two interceptions after signing a three-year, $39 million contract with the Giants.

He helped the Giants reach the playoffs in the 2022 season by posting 51 tackles in 10 starts in their 9-7-1 season, and had 14 tackles and one tackle for loss in their two playoff games. Jackson had seven tackles in each postseason game, including their 31-24 win over the Minnesota Vikings, the Giants’ only playoff win since Super XLVI.

But Jackson’s best season with the Giants came in 2023 when he had 63 tackles, eight passes defended and a 76-yard interception return for a touchdown in a Christmas-night loss to the Eagles.

The performance earned Jackson a one-year contract back with the Giants for the 2024 season. He struggled that year, posting just 28 tackles and only five passes defended while losing his starting role to Cordale Flott.
