On Saturday, the New York Knicks played the Atlanta Hawks at State Farm Arena for Game 4 of their first-round playoff series.

The Knicks won by a score of 114-98.

They have now tied up the series at 2-2.

Following the game, NBA legend Magic Johnson made a bold claim about the Knicks (via X).

Johnson wrote: “The New York Knicks dominated the Atlanta Hawks in a 114-98 victory last night. They showed me once again why they’re the only team in the East that can beat the Boston Celtics!

The Knicks had five guys in double figures and were led by Karl Anthony Towns who had a triple double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists! When Karl Anthony Towns plays like he did last night with physicality on both ends of the court the Knicks are hard to beat!”

Looking Forward For The Knicks

The Knicks are the third seed after going 53-29.

They are now 23-20 in the 43 games they have played on the road.

Following Game 4, the teams will now head back to Madison Square Garden for Game 5 on Tuesday.

Last season, the Knicks reached the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in 25 years.

There will be a lot of pressure on head coach Mike Brown to get the team back to the Conference Finals (or further).

He was hired over the offseason after the team moved on from Tom Thibodeau.
