The Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion breakup has been one of the loudest celebrity stories of 2026, and it just got a little louder. Thompson finally broke his silence, and it was not the long statement anyone expected.
The response came through Instagram. A content creator named Wyomatt posted a video reacting to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith defending Thompson, calling out the broadcaster for publicly supporting someone he called a cheater. Thompson saw the post and replied with four words: “Please go touch grass.”
That comment, brief as it was, went viral fast. For a guy who had stayed quiet since Megan Thee Stallion publicly accused him of cheating on April 25, it was a signal that Thompson had been watching the whole thing unfold.
Smith went on his platform to defend the Dallas Mavericks guard, saying Thompson is a great NBA player and a future Hall of Famer who does not deserve the public hate. He also pushed back on the idea of airing personal relationship matters publicly, arguing couples should be able to split without it becoming a media story.

Wyomatt was not buying it. In his reaction video, he went straight at Smith, saying the broadcaster had no moral compass and was only jumping into the conversation to make money off the controversy. He argued that Smith deliberately stirs the pot between communities because it keeps his name relevant and his pockets full.
He also took direct aim at the cheating angle, pointing out that Thompson had allegedly been unfaithful to other women before Megan, and that Smith choosing to defend him anyway was exactly the problem.
WNBA guard Lexie Brown, whose name got dragged into the cheating rumors, called out both Thompson and Megan for not publicly clearing her name. She said neither of them had denied her involvement, and that the silence had cost her, with death threats now coming her way.
Thompson, for his part, did not seem too concerned. He went on Instagram Live cruising on a boat with Gerald Levert’s “Casanova” playing in the background, looking like someone who had already moved on.
With Megan also announcing an early exit from her Broadway run in Moulin Rouge, both are clearly feeling the weight of this. Thompson has not addressed the cheating allegations directly, and at this point, it does not look like he plans to.
