Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is not only getting in shape for the what could be his final year in the NFL this offseason, he’s also preparing to marry his fiancée, Taylor Swift.

Kelce and Swift will reportedly tie the knot on July 3 in New York City. While wedding details and rumors continue to swirl, Swift has been spending a lot of time in Manhattan.

The pop star was most recently seen out to dinner with her father, Scott Swift, at the Jane Hotel restaurant on April 27. Is Swift sticking around to attend the Met Gala with Kelce this year?

If Swift and Kelce make a red carpet entrance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, it’ll be a huge surprise. There are no reports linking the couple to the big event; however, there are numerous reasons Swift and Kelce may go.

Beyoncé is serving as a co-chair this year, a longtime friend and close supporter of the pop star. Beyoncé last attended the Met Gala in 2016, the same as Swift. The “Opalite” singer served as a co-chair in 2016 after attending in 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014.

Sabrina Carpenter, who sings on Swift’s latest album, “The Life of Showgirl,” is on the 2026 Met Gala Host Committee, as is Lena Dunham, another close friend of the 14-time Grammy winner, along with Zoe Kravitz.

The theme for this year’s exhibit is “Costume Art” and the dress code is “Fashion Is Art,” which seems right up the singer’s alley. The event raises money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The red carpet starts streaming live on Vogue’s YouTube channel at 6 p.m. ET.

The New York Times released a special interview with the songwriter last week during which Swift spoke about the inspiration behind her latest album.

She described “riding in the car” with her future husband and “I go on and on in explaining to Travis, like, why I love Elizabeth Taylor so much. She fought for artists’ rights. She was exploited in so many ways, and yet she kept her humanity. She kept her humor. She kept her passion for life.’ I was just going on and on.”

After they get home, the lyrics and melody for her latest single “floats down like a cloud in front of you and all you have to do is grab it,” Swift added.
