Arsenal are flying high after reaching the Champions League final for the first time in 20 years following a 2-1 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

In the Premier League, the Gunners sit five points clear at the top of the table as they chase their first league title since the 2003-04 season.

Manchester City remain in pursuit with a game in hand, meaning the title race still looks destined to go down to the wire.

However, as Arsenal continue to compete on multiple fronts, attention is already drifting toward what could be another pivotal offseason for the club.

Arsenal Monitoring Marcus Rashford Transfer Situation

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are among the clubs keeping a close eye on the situation surrounding Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Rashford is currently on loan at Barcelona, although doubts remain over whether the La Liga leaders will make the move permanent.

A reported buy option worth around $35.3 million has previously been discussed, though Barcelona appear reluctant to meet that valuation.

Sky Sports reports that the Catalan side have until June 15 to activate the clause.

If they opt against doing so, several clubs are expected to show interest, including Arsenal and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old has rediscovered his form this season following a difficult stretch in Manchester.

Across 46 appearances, Rashford has scored 13 goals and added 11 assists, taking his total goal contributions to 24 for the campaign.

FotMob currently gives the England international a 7.27 season rating, reflecting his resurgence.

Rashford has repeatedly stated throughout the season that he is happy in Barcelona and has hinted at wanting to remain with the club long term.

However, much of that situation appears outside of his control, with the cash-strapped Spanish giants reportedly unwilling to fully commit to the transfer fee.

If Rashford remains at Barcelona beyond this season, another loan arrangement could ultimately become the most realistic solution.

Manchester United Future Remains Uncertain for Marcus Rashford

At present, it remains unclear whether a return to Manchester United is a genuine possibility.

Rashford fell out of favor during Ruben Amorim’s spell in charge at Old Trafford, although interim manager Michael Carrick could potentially reopen the door for the forward.

“Ruben Amorim’s departure in January would certainly help that, while United lack a natural fit for his favored position on the left,” FotMob’s Jamie Spencer wrote. “It’s whether things can get back to the way they were prior to 2024, with cost also a factor given Rashford will be contractually entitled to a pay rise.”

If Rashford does leave Manchester United permanently, the same Daily Mail report claims the club could target AC Milan winger Rafael Leao as a replacement.

The report states that Leao is among “a number of options” United are considering this summer, with a reported fee of around $68 million being discussed.

Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande have also been linked with United in recent weeks.

Regardless of Arsenal’s success this season in both the Premier League and Champions League, the club could still look to strengthen on the left side of attack this summer.

Leandro Trossard has continued to prove himself as a dependable squad option, while Gabriel Martinelli remains an important contributor.

Still, a move for Rashford could provide Arsenal with another proven, high-level attacking option capable of making an immediate impact in the starting lineup.
