Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford, recently announced some big personal news

Most know Kelly Stafford as the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Others know her as the host of the popular podcast “The Morning After,” which she hosted with close friend Hank Winchester.

But “TMA” has been on hiatus since October 2025 due to Kelly’s mental health struggles and desire to reduce the amount of anxiety in her life.

“What I don’t miss is the anxiety I used to get the night before every episode was released wondering what headline was going to be created from the episode,” Kelly recently said on her Instagram story.

“It just felt like my name was in the headlines every week and that is not what I wanted this podcast for. So that is a big reason why I took a break. I needed a mental break.”

Kelly Drops Big Update on Future of Her Podcast

Fans of “The Morning After” have been left in the dark for over seven months wondering if its hiatus was permanent or if there was a return for the program in the works.

Kelly recently took to Instagram to answer those exact questions, hinting that the beloved podcast may not be coming back after all.

“It was really nice just being there and supporting and being with my kids and Matthew all last season and not having to worry about it,” Kelly added. “I really do miss it. I think you can do a lot of good with a podcast if you do it right.

“So I’m trying to figure out what that looks like and still be super enjoyable for you all. So stay tuned on that. I’m working on it. And once there is a decision that I’ve made, I promise you, you’ll know.”

The last “TMA” episode came out in October and featured Kristin Juszcyzk and Claire Kittle, the wives of San Francisco 49ers stars Kyle Juszcyzk and George Kittle. Since then, four other episodes had dropped titled “The TMA Archives,” reflecting on past moments from previous shows.

Kelly Sounds Off On Big Issue With Media

During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, one fan asked Kelly if it bothered her when people — mostly reporters — referred to her husband as Matt instead of Matthew.

Kelly didn’t hold back, letting her followers know exactly how she feels about how the media treats her husband.

“When people don’t know him, they call him Matt,” Kelly replied. “What gets me is that he’s been playing in the league now for close to 2 decades, and people who have jobs reporting on it still call him Matt. I find it highly disrespectful, but honestly kind of goes along with Matthew’s whole career.”

For context, Stafford’s legal name is John Matthew Stafford, but he goes by his middle name.
