On Monday night, the New York Mets will open up a series with the Colorado Rockies in Denver.
The Mets are coming off a series where they took two out of three from the Los Angeles Angels, most recently winning (on Sunday) by a score of 5-1.
Juan Soto finished the victory with two strikeouts in five at-bats.

For Monday’s game, the Mets have announced the bold decision to have Soto as their leadoff hitter.

Soto is in the middle of his second season playing for the Mets.
He is batting .314 with 22 hits, three home runs, eight RBI’s and eight runs in his first 19 games of the 2026 season.
