Speaking on his Twitch channel “FCHWPO,” Brown emphasized his appreciation for the group and the way the team competed throughout the season.

“And this group was a special group. So proud of this group and the way we played,” Brown said. “I wish we trusted that style of play a little bit more, but I know playoffs kind of shifted our rotations and what we wanted to do.”

Brown pointed to the team’s collective effort and resilience as defining traits, especially amid uncertainty surrounding roster changes and injuries.

“But I’m so proud and it was my favorite year of my basketball career,” Brown added. “Just to be able to be a part of a group that just, through the uncertainty, came to fight and came to compete and came and went to war. I’ll take a team like that any day of the week.”

He also highlighted his connection with fans through streaming, calling it a meaningful part of his experience this season.

“One streaming with you guys chat was awesome,” Brown said. “Just to be able to get on here and give you all the perspective… just to hear it from the horse’s mouth.”

Boston’s early playoff exit contrasts sharply with its regular-season success. The Celtics secured the No. 2 seed despite entering the year without several key veterans and navigating stretches without Tatum.

Brown played a central role in that success, helping guide the team to the top of the standings for much of the season. However, the postseason presented a different challenge, with rotations tightening and offensive consistency becoming an issue.

“I wish we played that style and trusted that style more, even throughout the playoffs, even through wins and through losses,” Brown said after the game. “Obviously it’s not always the easiest decision. But I wish that style for our team was how we empowered the rest of our group.”

Boston experimented with its lineup in Game 7, including a reshuffled starting group, but struggled to find rhythm early. The Celtics fell behind by 13 points after the first quarter and were unable to fully recover despite a late push.

The series itself highlighted offensive inconsistencies. Boston’s scoring efficiency dropped significantly in its losses, and the team struggled to maintain its regular-season identity against Philadelphia’s defense.

Brown acknowledged the outcome while maintaining perspective on the season as a whole.

“Obviously this organization is used to playing later into the season, and this is my first time having a first-round exit,” Brown said. “But this season, what the expectations were, and we came out, and we rose to meet that level of uncertainty with this group. There’s nothing more I could ask for.”

He added, “We left it all out there. We played hard… just came up a couple, a few plays short.”

The Celtics now enter the offseason facing questions about roster construction and playoff adjustments after a regular season that exceeded expectations but ended earlier than anticipated. Brown’s message, however, underscored a focus on effort, growth, and the collective identity the team built over the course of the season.
