On Wednesday, the New York Yankees are playing the finale of a three-game series with the Rangers in Texas.

They recently called up Jasson Domínguez (who has played in each of the first two games).

So far, he has one hit in nine at-bats.

However, the 23-year-old had to leave Wednesday’s game with an injury.

Erik Boland of Newsday Sports wrote: “Jasson Dominguez, hit in the left elbow last inning, replaced in left by Max Schuemann”

Domínguez had originally tried to stay in the game.

Domínguez’s Career

Domínguez did not make the team out of spring training despite coming off a strong 2025 season.

He finished last year batting .257 with ten home runs, 47 RBI’s and 23 stolen bases in 123 games.

Aaron Judge spoke about Domínguez earlier in the series.

Judge (via YES Network): “You call up a guy like Jasson Domínguez who can kind of fill that role. Maybe DH. Play some outfield for us. It’s gonna be huge. He’s been raking in Triple A… I think he was definitely upset not making the team out of camp… I think he’s gonna show up here ready to prove some people wrong and kind of send a message.”
