Elijah Haven could be first recruiting domino to fall for Kalen DeBoer, Alabama.

This past Saturday, Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide landed a commitment from the No. 1 quarterback in the class of 2027, Elijah Haven.

While Haven’s commitment alone is notable, recruiting insiders believe it could have been the spark that ignites Alabama’s entire 2027 recruiting class.

A “Slow Start” That Feels Very Familiar

On the surface, Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class has started quietly. Haven becomes just the third addition since late March and is just one of 6 total commits so far.

But here’s the twist: this is exactly how Alabama likes it.

Under DeBoer, the Crimson Tide has made a habit of building momentum later in the cycle. While other programs load up early, Alabama tends to surge during official visit season, particularly from late May through the summer.

That window is rapidly approaching, and Haven’s commitment could signal a surge for the Crimson Tide.
