The Chicago Bears have added another quarterback to the roster after the NFL draft.
The team inked Louisville signal-caller Miller Moss as an undrafted free agent on Saturday, April 25, per a report from insider Jordan Schultz.

Moss played five years in college, four at USC and his final season at Louisville.
He played in 21 games over his final two campaigns, completing 477-of-742 pass attempts for more than 5,200 yards, 34 TDs 16 INTs. For his career, Moss threw for 6,150 yards, 43 TDs and 17 INTs on a completion rate of 65.1 percent.
“Moss has a quick release that he uses to get the ball out in a timely fashion. He has a strong pocket presence and will stand in against the rush and take a hit to make a play,” per Draft Nation. “Moss has an accurate and strong enough arm to play in the pros. He is a rhythmic quarterback with a high football IQ who will test well in scout and coaching meetings. He has some of the better throwing mechanics in this class, and does a great job in play-action passing.”
Moss stands at six-feet, two-inches tall and weighs 210 pounds, which is smaller than the top prospects at the position traditionally. He struggles against pressure, locks in too frequently on one option in the pass game and won’t create out of structure, according to Draft National analysis.

Moss joins a team that already employs Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent and Case Keenum at the quarterback position.
Bagent, like Moss, was an undrafted free agent. He won the QB2 job behind Justin Fields in his rookie campaign and has held onto out through the first two years Williams’ career, recently inking a $10 million contract.
Teams have shown interest in dealing for Bagent, and landing a quality quarterback behind him would be a pathway for the Bears to move Bagent in a trade and add Day 2 value ahead of a strong 2027 draft class.
Keenum is also 38 years old and likely approaching the end of his career. As such, there could be an opportunity for Moss to catch on with the Bears practice squad in 2026 and potentially move up the chain within a year.
