Tobias Harris suffered a hip injury back on December 30th and has been sidelined since.

Getting prepared for another matchup with the season on the line, the Detroit Pistons have some notable injury concerns. On the report, the team added its starting forward, Tobias Harris, on Thursday night.

According to the official NBA injury report, Harris is dealing with a left ankle sprain. As a result, the Pistons are rolling with the veteran as questionable for Game 6.

The Pistons Receive Good Tobias Harris News

On the morning of the matchup, the Pistons received positive news on the Harris front.

The veteran forward was able to participate in the shootaround session.

The Pistons have their backs against the wall against the Orlando Magic.

After a disappointing start to the series, Detroit found themselves trailing 3-1 when they hosted the Magic at home in Detroit. Their first elimination game was a success.

Now, the road gets tougher as the Pistons have to do it all again in front of a hostile Florida crowd that wants a ticket to the second round.

Through five games, Harris averaged 34.6 minutes of action with the Pistons. The veteran forward posted averages of 19.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game.

During the critical Game 5, Harris had one of his best playoff showings with the Pistons. The veteran put up 23 points, while coming down with eight rebounds, and snatching two steals in the 116-109 win.

A shootaround status doesn’t guarantee the Pistons will have Harris in action for Game 6. However, Harris’ participation is a good sign that he’s on the right path.

The Pistons and the Magic are slated for a 7 PM ET tip on Friday night. Harris’ status remains unclear.
