On Monday evening, the Baltimore Orioles played the finale of their four-game series with the New York Yankees in the Bronx.

The Orioles lost by a score of 12-1 (and got swept).

Before the game, they had signed (former Yankee) Lou Trivino.

Trivino had a quick turnaround, as he was with the Orioles for Monday’s game.

That said, he reportedly had a tough time getting into the stadium.

Melanie Newman of MLB Network wrote: “We were told earlier today, Lou Trivino was outside the stadium gates, Lehigh Valley bags stacked, trying to get in. Security didn’t have him on the roster (obviously) but the irony he was a Yankee in 22.”

Trivino ended up having a rough outing, as he went 0.2 innings, allowing four hits, three walks and six earned runs.

Jake Rill of MLB.com wrote: “Lou Trivino’s Orioles debut did not go well. The 34-year-old RHP gave up 6 earned runs on 4 hits and 3 walks while recording only 2 outs in the 8th inning vs. the Yankees. The O’s will now send infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson to the mound for the 2nd time this season.”

Trivino was picked in the 11th round of the 2013 MLB Draft.

In addition to the Yankees and Orioles, the 34-year-old has also had stints with the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies over six seasons.

He is 24-27 with a 3.87 ERA in 332 games.

The Orioles are currently 15-20 in 35 games, which has them as the fourth-place team in the American League East.

They are 6-11 in 17 games on the road.

Following the Yankees, the Orioles will visit the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night at LoanDepot Park in Florida.
