Former Browns receiver Kaden Davis has signed with a UFL team.

A former Cleveland Browns wide receiver has found a new home in the UFL.

Kaden Davis has signed with the Houston Gamblers, the team announced on social media. The move keeps Davis active in professional football after his time with the Browns came to a close following the 2025 season.

Davis appeared in two regular-season games for Cleveland last season, recording one kick return for 28 yards and one tackle. His most notable moment with the team came in the preseason, when he made six catches for 67 yards, two touchdowns and three kick returns for 75 yards across three preseason games.

The 27-year-old receiver spent his professional career bouncing around NFL rosters. Before joining Cleveland, Davis spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos. He also had a stint in the USFL with the Michigan Panthers. Davis became a free agent after last season.

Browns Have Loaded Up at Wide Receiver

There’s no longer room for Davis on the Browns’ roster after they upgraded a receiver room that ranked No. 32 in the league last season in receptions, yards, and touchdowns.

Cleveland selected Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion with the No. 24 overall pick in the first round. Concepcion totaled 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns, while adding 10 carries for 75 yards and one touchdown. He’s also a great kick returner and will likely have a role on special teams.

The Browns doubled up at wide receiver in the second round, selecting Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston with the 39th overall pick. The 6-foot-4, 212-pound Boston complements the smaller, faster Concepcion in head coach Todd Monken’s offense. Boston scored 11 touchdowns last season with the Huskies.

“I think that we’re going to bring a good mix of explosiveness and having explosive plays after explosive plays. Both of us have generated tons of touchdowns throughout our college careers,” Boston said. “So, I think those are the two things for sure you can look forward to.”

The rookie due to join a receiver room that includes Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman, and Isaiah Bond.

Browns See Jerry Jeudy as ‘Bell Cow’

The Browns are hoping for a bounce-back season from Jeudy after a very disappointing year. Jeudy caught just 50 passes for 602 yards and two touchdowns — far from WR1 production.

While the rookies will be in the mix, the Browns still see Jeudy — a Pro Bowler in 2024 — as their go-to target.

“He’s our bell cow,” Browns general manager Andrew Berry said. “With receiver rooms, you can have maybe a ball dominant player or you can essentially build a basketball team with different skill sets. We prefer the second approach. Now don’t get me wrong. I’ll take Calvin Johnson if he’s out there, but we feel like we have a nice well-rounded room with speed, (yards after catch), contested-catch ability, separation. So we’re really pleased with the youth and talent in that group.”

The Browns also have other options in the passing game. Tight end Harold Fannin Jr. is coming off an outstanding rookie season, leading the Browns in every major receiving category. Running backs Dylan Sampson and Quinshon Judkins are also capable pass-catchers.
