Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon named the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback situation the fourth-worst in the league entering the 2026 NFL Draft.

It is no secret that when you are an all-time great quarterback, you are bound to make a few enemies. Future first-ballot Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who remains unsigned by the Pittsburgh Steelers, is not necessarily beloved by every fan, media member, or even athlete. One athlete who doesn’t apparently appreciate him is WWE superstar Seth Rollins.

During Thursday’s episode of Good Morning Football, Rollins, who is now a contributor on the show, shared his opinion of Rodgers as he was asked about whether or not it is harder to be a professional wrestler in your late 30s or an NFL player in your early 40s. His answer was brutally honest.

Here is what Rollins had to say about Rodgers playing in the NFL at 42 years of age:

“Wrestling in WrestleMania is more difficult than playing in the NFL at 42, especially if we’re talking about Aaron Rodgers again and playing the quarterback position, because these guys don’t get hit…There’s no hiding is my point. You have to go out there. You have to put everything on the line. Everybody is looking right at you. You don’t get the opportunity to sit down. It does feel a little bit personal. I feel a little attacked. I feel like I’m being compared to Aaron Rodgers.”

Rollins later walked off the Good Morning Football set in frustration after getting into an argument with co-host Kyle Brandt.

It makes sense that Rollins, a known Bears fan, is a little salty whenever he gets asked about Rodgers. The four-time MVP and Super Bowl MVP has a career record of 25-5, including playoffs, against the Chicago Bears. All of that came as a member of the Green Bay Packers for 18 seasons (15 as the starter). Dominance doesn’t even begin to describe how badly Rodgers owned the Bears. The only NFL quarterback all-time to have 400+ passing touchdowns and a 100+ passer rating, Rodgers led Green Bay to eight NFC North titles and a Super Bowl in his career there.

While the odds of Rodgers returning to the Steel City could be seen as likely more than unlikely, nothing is official yet. But the team and Steelers fans should certainly want the 42-year-old back in the fold after the season that he had under former head coach Mike Tomlin. He recorded 25 total touchdowns, just seven interceptions, and a steady passer rating of 94.8. Without his leadership and quality play, the Steelers likely don’t come close to making the playoffs.

Now, with his former head coach in Green Bay, Mike McCarthy, in charge of the Steelers, he could perhaps have more success if he were to return to the Steelers. Together, the two led Green Bay to eight consecutive playoff appearances, five division titles, and that aforementioned Super Bowl win over 11 seasons as head coach and starting quarterback (2008-2018). Time will tell if he can be re-signed by the team with the NFL Draft nearing its start.
