Keon Coleman gets positive prediction.

The Buffalo Bills will have to make some intriguing decisions on the wide receiver room.

Buffalo traded for DJ Moore to be the team’s No. 1 receiver, while Khalil Shakir will be the No. 2 receiver. Yet, the big question is how the depth chart will play out after that.

Bills analyst Matt Parrino of NYUP.com and The Shout! Podcast believes Keon Coleman will be the team’s No. 3 receiver.

“The Bills could land on a combination of Palmer and Coleman once the season arrives. Rookie receiver Skylar Bell is now in the mix, too. Beane said they view him as an outside receiver first, with the ability to play inside,” Parrino wrote. “Coleman dominated during the summer last year, and he likely gets every opportunity to earn a big role in the offense again.”

On the podcast, Parrino further went into it and cemented Coleman as the Bills’ No. 3 receiver as he’s expecting a big year from the former second-round pick.

“I think the only way to back up the talk of the offseason by Brandon Beane and Joe Brady is to have him (Coleman) out there across from DJ Moore on Day 1 in training camp. You can fit Palmer in around that,” Parrino said on the podcast.

Coleman had a very up-and-down season last year as he was a healthy scratch multiple games after being late to team meetings. He finished the year recording 38 receptions for 404 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Bills Head Coach Backs Coleman

After the Bills fired head coach Sean McDermott, Terry Pegula, the owner of the Bills, called out Coleman.

Pegula said that was a pick that Beane didn’t want to make, which Beane tried to backtrack. However, after the hiring of Joe Brady as the new head coach, Brady said he was the coach who wanted Coleman and believe him being hired is the best thing to happen to the young receiver.

“I told Keon when I got hired, the best thing that happened to Keon Coleman was me being his head coach,” Brady said. “I was one of the ones that stood on the table for Keon Coleman, and I believe in Keon Coleman.”

Brady believes Coleman can learn from 2025 and how to mature, and expects him to be a key part of the offense.

“He’s going to continue to grow, but the elements that we saw in the draft process — the confidence that I have in him and his ability — and as long as he’s handling what he needs to do off the field, I have no doubt that he’s going to be successful on the field,” Brady added.

Coleman showed how effective he can be in Week 1 when he recorded 8 receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Buffalo’s WR Room Ahead of Training Camp

The Bills made two key additions to the wide receiver room this offseason.

Buffalo traded for Moore and then in the fourth round, selected Skyler Bell out of UConn, who’s expected to have a key role with the team.

Entering OTAs and training camp, the Bills’ wide receiver room is as follows:

The Bills will likely have 5-7 receivers on the 53-man roster, so it will be a competition to follow.
