UPDATE: Greg Joyce of The New York Post reported more details on Caballero.

Schuemann will be replacing José Caballero in the lineup.

Caballero is batting .258 with 35 hits, four home runs, 13 RBI’s, 18 runs and 13 stolen bases in 40 games.

Gary Phillips of NY Daily News Sports wrote: “José Caballero is dealing with a banged up middle finger on his right hand. Hurt it sliding back to the base yesterday. He’s gotten treatment. Next step is an MRI. He doesn’t think it’s a fracture and didn’t seem too worried about a possible IL stint.”
