UFC all-time wins leader Jim Miller, who was victorious at UFC 328, called out Conor McGregor for his next fight inside the Octagon.

Miller picked up a slick submission win over Jared Gordon with a first-round guillotine choke on the UFC 328 preliminary card. For the 42-year-old Miller, it was a huge win for him in front of his partisan fans in his home state of New Jersey. The victory increased his UFC all-time wins record to 28, and extended his all-time UFC fights record as it was his 47th fight inside the Octagon.

While Miller has fought so many fighters over the years, there is still one massive name with whom he has never stepped into the Octagon, and he’s the biggest name of all: McGregor.

Speaking to reporters following his big win at UFC 328, Miller called out McGregor, making a joke about his titanium leg, which he broke in a 2021 fight against Dustin Poirier. The Irishman has not fought since then, but he is heavily rumored to make his return to the UFC this summer.

“I think that’d be a fun fight. I’ll test that new ankle he’s got there, that titanium. Honestly, I feel bad for him because he hasn’t had the opportunity to fight in so long. Yeah, they know my number,” Miller said with a laugh.

UFC president Dana White revealed following UFC 328 that Miller has signed a five-fight contract extension, which would take him past 50 fights if he wants to fulfill it. Though Miller is one of the oldest fighters in the UFC, he is still winning fights, so he will stick around for as long as the UFC has him under contract. It’s also worth noting that he won a $100,000 Performance of the Night bonus for the finish on Gordon, which was his 16th bonus nod in his UFC career.

The next step for Miller is to get to the elusive 50-fight mark in the UFC, and then, the Hall of Fame.

Conor McGregor Rumored to Fight Max Holloway Next

While McGregor does not have his next bout officially booked yet, there are rumors that he could be fighting Max Holloway at UFC 329. Indeed, there were rumblings that the UFC could have even announced that fight last night during the UFC 328 broadcast, but it never happened.

That being said, White has teased that the UFC is close to getting something done with McGregor and that his return this summer is imminent, so the Holloway fight at UFC 329 in July makes a lot of sense. Hopefully, we can get a resolution on this soon, as both McGregor and Holloway seem to want this rematch of a fight that first took place in 2013, with McGregor winning a unanimous decision that night.

Depending on what happens in his comeback fight, we’ll see if McGregor is interested in fighting Miller. He may not be enough of a big name to entice McGregor, but at the same time, getting the chance to beat the UFC all-time wins leader is still a pretty tantalizing challenge to take on.
