Cardi B and Stefon Diggs appear to have rekindled their romance, with the two being spotted at the Diggs Deep Foundation Mother’s Day event.
They were spotted getting cozy, posing in front of a pink backdrop, with the wide receiver affectionately kissing the rapper’s cheek. This comes after the two split earlier this year.
And now a source spoke with US Weekly, detailing why Cardi B has gotten back together with Diggs.
“Cardi and Stefon are giving things another shot,” the source said. “She is giving him a second chance but is not fully committing to him.”
They added that she is “slowly letting” him “back in,” explaining that the duo have “been in closer contact lately.”
“Things are no longer contentious,” the source further stated. “She still has love for Stefon, which makes it difficult to walk away.”

Diggs and Cardi B broke up just before the New England Patriots competed in the 2026 Super Bowl in February against the Seattle Seahawks. And at the time, a source spoke with Us Weekly, detailing the reason.
“They are always so up and down,” the source said, adding that the rapper felt “free” after the breakup. “This isn’t the first time they have broken up.”
“Cardi is single and putting herself out there again,” they added. “He betrayed her so many times. Her friends have been trying to show her that he is not right for her and that she deserves better.”
However, Diggs was spotted at Cardi’s concert in Washington D.C. in April, which first fueled reconciliation rumors.
The two began dating in early 2025, going on to welcome their son in November.
Earlier this month, Diggs was found not guilty of assaulting his personal chef. The trial last two days, with the jury returning with their verdict after roughly 90 minutes.
The wide receiver was facing one count of felony strangulation and one count of misdemeanor assault and battery. If he was found guilty, Diggs was facing five years in prison for the strangulation charge as well as two-and-a-half years in jail for the misdemeanor assault.
However, he was found not guilty, with TMZ reporting that Diggs was “emotional as the verdict was being read.”
Following the verdict, a lawyer for Diggs fielded questions about the case, thanking the jury and judge.
“It’s an emotional thing to have false allegations levied at you,” the lawyer said per NBC 10 Boston. “This has impacted him both personally and professionally.”
