Earlier this weekend, news came out that the Giants had released Diego Cartaya from their organization.
He had been playing for the Eugene Emeralds.
Jeff Young of Around The Foghorn wrote: “The Giants released catcher Diego Cartaya from their High-A roster. He was viewed as one of the top prospects during the 2018 – 2019 international signing period. He joined the Dodgers on a $2.5M signing bonus.”
