The Baltimore Ravens have a few things to address when it comes to the NFL Draft on April 23-25.

According to ESPN, the Ravens have to address certain positions to ace their draft. Baltimore is known for drafting well. The problem has been execution on the field. Earlier in the offseason, the team was urged to address the offensive line, wide receiver, and pass rusher. To ace their draft, this is exactly what they need.

“The Ravens’ biggest need is clearly fortifying the interior offensive line for quarterback Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has the major challenge of replacing Tyler Linderbaum. After the signing of longtime backup center Danny Pinter, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Ravens selected a center in the first or second round.” An ESPN article says.

Baltimore Ravens Urged to Address Pass Rush

The Ravens ranked 24th in total defense during the 2025 season. Baltimore was the 10th ranked defense against the run. They were the 30th ranked defense against the pass. Though the team was talented on both sides of the ball, they failed to live up to the high expectations of the 2025 season.

Defensively, the Ravens had trouble generating pressure with a 30% pass rush win rate in 2025. According to ESPN, the win rate ranked 28th in the league.

“Over the past two seasons, only the Panthers have a worse pressure rate than the Ravens when sending four rushers.” Another ESPN article says. “I’d imagine they’re interested in Keldric Faulk (Auburn) along the edge, as new coach Jesse Minter likes strong run defenders at his edge spots.”

It remains evident that the Ravens will try to pair a good pass rusher along with Trey Hendrickson. The former Cincinnati Bengals edge rusher led the league in sacks in 2024.

According to an ESPN article, he ranks second in overall pressure rate (13.2%), according to ESPN Research, and has 61 sacks, the fourth-highest total. Hendrickson was a third-round selection by the New Orleans Saints in 2017 and has 81 sacks in nine NFL seasons. In 2024, Hendrickson was named an All-Pro after leading the league in sacks with 17.5.

Offensive Line and Wide Receiver

The Ravens have the 14th overall pick in this year’s draft. Interior offensive line should be the focus for Baltimore. After moving on from the labeled ‘big and sorry’ Daniel Faalele, the team looks to protect Lamar Jackson better.

“Penn State’s Olaivavega Ioane is accordingly the chalk pick at No. 14, and deservedly so.” The ESPN article reads. “Yet the Ravens are rarely paired with a first-round pass rusher, as Baltimore had a second glaring issue last season: guard play. Daniel Faalele (who has since followed coach John Harbaugh to the New York Giants), and Andrew Vorhees were consistent problems in pass protection. John Simpson was signed to take over one of the interior spots, but there’s a big void at center now that Tyler Linderbaum signed with the Raiders.”

Lastly, the Ravens could ace their draft by drafting a consistent wide receiver to along with Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews.

“The WR2 behind Zay Flowers has been Rashod Bateman for years now, yet he has never risen to the call. With Isaiah Likely gone and Mark Andrews getting older, Kenyon Sadiq’s (Oregon) range starts here as well.” The ESPN article says.
