Oh Boy: Oregon QB Dylan Raiola has gone viral for looking extremely “overweight” at spring training.
An awful look for someone trying to make a run for the starting quarterback job.
Raiola has been eating good this offseason 😳

The Oregon Ducks were able to secure a commitment from former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola during the NCAA Transfer Portal this offseason.
Raiola, who has been a very popular name due to the appearance similarities between him and Patrick Mahomes, is hoping for a fresh start at Oregon. However, he will have to sit behind star signal caller Dante Moore as the backup in 2026.
Following the 2026 season, Raiola is targeting becoming the starting quarterback for Dan Lanning and the Ducks.
Over the weekend, Oregon held its spring game. Raiola received his first action with the Ducks, but fans noticed something that looked off.
Since the spring game, Raiola has gone viral for his appearance. This time, it’s for the wrong reasons.
In a video shared by Dov Kleiman on X, Raiola looked to have put on a few pounds. Many fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the matter.

“So he went from Nebraska starter to Oregon back up QB. Horrendous decision,” one comment read.
Another said, “Them Oregon food trucks are a damn problem.”
“Leave him alone. He’s just working on the Mahomes dad bod,” a third comment stated.
A fourth user commented, “He’s trying to mimic Patrick Mahomes coming off an ACL tear. He way over did it.”
“His dad was an o-lineman, Apple didn’t fall far from the tree,” a fifth fan wrote.
While Raiola has been a very popular name over the last couple of years, his play on the field hasn’t quite lived up to the hype.
During the 2025 college football season with the Cornhuskers, the young signal caller completed 72.4 percent of his pass attempts for 2,000 yards, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Back in 2024, he threw for 2,819 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, while completing 67.1 percent of his passes.
Being able to transfer to the Ducks from Nebraska should help Raiola develop. Lanning is one of the best head coaches in the country and he has an elite coaching staff.
At the end of the day, Raiola’s weight shouldn’t be a reason to panic. He doesn’t look much different than he did with the Cornhuskers and is also coming off of a season-ending injury.
That being said, the next two years will be a make or break situation for Raiola. If he can’t rise up to the hype with Oregon, his NFL dreams could quickly pass him by. On the flip side, if he turns into the players he was expected to be, he could be playing on Sunday’s in a couple of years.
