The Baltimore Ravens may have a few more things to address when it comes to their team. Many would say the Baltimore Ravens aced their 2026 draft after landing plenty of key pieces to add to their team.

According to ESPN, the Baltimore Ravens still have a hole in their offensive line. They have revealed their weakest position is currently the center position.

“The Ravens were unable to retain Tyler Linderbaum and now have a major hole at the center position. Corey Bullock, a 2024 UDFA, has played a grand total of 13 offensive snaps during the regular season. Jovaughn Gwyn has played 11 snaps in three seasons with Atlanta.” Aaron Schatz wrote in the ESPN article.

“The alternative might be to move over a guard such as Andrew Vorhees. Available veterans on the free agent market include Ryan Kelly, Ethan Pocic and Liam Eichenberg.”

GM Eric DeCosta Explained Why Team Didn’t Draft Center

DeCosta revealed that it was ‘unfortunate’ the team did not draft a center, but he is confident they will have the position figured out by the time the 2026 season starts.

“One of the Ravens’ biggest needs entering the draft was at center following the departure of Pro Bowler Tyler Linderbaum in free agency. By the end of the three days, the Ravens came away with 11 new rookies but zero true centers.” Ryan Mink wrote in a Baltimore Ravens article.

DeCosta added that he most likely would not do anything differently considering the level of players the Ravens drafted. Some of these players include OL Olaivavega Ioane, EDGE Zion Young, and Wide Receivers Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt.

“Probably prohibitive for us to get up that high in the draft,” DeCosta said during the Post-Draft Press Conference. “Would I rather have Ja’Kobi [Lane], [Elijah] Sarratt, and [Matt] Hibner? I probably would than one player at that point. … Honestly, like looking at this list of [our drafted] players, I probably wouldn’t do anything differently.”

There was great top end talent on this year’s board that were too good to pass up on.

Baltimore Signed Center Before Draft

The Baltimore Ravens signed veteran center Danny Pinter who previously played for the Indianapolis Colts. If the Ravens do not make a move before the season starts, Pinter could be the starter in 2026.

Pinter was an All-MAC selection at Ball State in 2019 and a 5th round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. In 2025, Pinter played just 139 snaps in a backup role, earning a 56.5 PFF grade in six appearances last season.

“In 2024, Pinter appeared in 14 games and started at center in Weeks 13 and 15, earning a career-high 82.9 Pro Football Focus overall grade as a starter in the Colts’ Week 13 win over the New England Patriots.” Glenn Erby wrote in a Ravens Wire article.

The Ravens came into the draft prepared to address their offensive line and they did just that by drafting Vega Ioane in the first round. Though the Ravens did not draft a center, they walked away with potentially the best offensive guard in the draft.

However, the Center position will still be a question mark entering the 2026 season.
