76ers Land Giannis Antetokounmpo in Wild 3-Team Proposal

Giannis Antetokounmpo #34 of the Milwaukee Bucks looks on during the first half against the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on March 1, 2026 in Chicago, Illinois.

The Milwaukee Bucks are seeking a combination of “young blue-chip talent and/or a surplus of draft picks” in a potential Giannis Antetokounmpo trade before June’s NBA Draft, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The Philadelphia 76ers just so happen to have a young blue-chip talent — V. J. Edgecombe — who showed legitimate star potential in his first playoff run.

Dairyland Express‘ Ernesto Cova floated a potential three-team Giannis trade idea that would see the Bucks land their next franchise star. The Chicago Bulls use the hypothetical scenario to dump some bad contracts for Paul George’s bad contract, while acquiring promising young guard Ryan Rollins and the No. 22 pick in this year’s Draft.

76ers would receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bucks would receive: Patrick Williams, Isaac Okoro, Rob Dillingham, Jalen Smith, V.J. Edgecombe, two unprotected first-round picks and one pick swap.

Bulls would receive: Paul George, Ryan Rollins, No. 22 pick in 2026 Draft (via PHI)

Can 76ers Target Giannis Trade?

Although the report did not specify Milwaukee’s incoming first-round picks, it’s worth noting that the 76ers have up to three tradeable first-round picks, including the LA Clippers‘ 2028 unprotected first-round pick and 2029 top-three protected swap.

The 2028 Clippers pick, especially, is said to have a lot of value around the league. That pick, along with Edgecombe, could pique Milwaukee’s interest. Furthermore, Rob Dillingham, the No. 8 pick in 2024, has some untapped potential and could be a part of a new young core in Milwaukee led by Edgecombe.

“In this scenario, the Bucks would get two first-round picks and a first-round pick swap while landing a potential franchise guy in Edgecombe, this year’s No. 3 pick,” wrote Cova. “They’d also get Dillingham, the No. 8 pick in 2024, who may only need an extended run to break out as the scoring machine he looked like in college.

“The Bulls would get some financial relief by moving on from big contracts, and they can probably just buy out George. They’d also get another first-round pick to add to the two they already have in this year’s draft, and Rollins is coming off an amazing season.”

Giannis Trade Likely: Reports

Per multiple insiders, the Bucks are expected to trade Antetokounmpo, their longtime franchise star, before the June 23-24 NBA Draft.

Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslam didn’t shy away from the topic while introducing Taylor Jenkins as the new head coach earlier this month.

“I just think before the draft is a natural time,” Haslam said. “Because if Giannis does play somewhere else, we’ve got to have a lot of assets. That’s Jon’s job to do. And if he’s here, then you build the team differently.”

ESPN’s Bobby Marks has listed the Warriors, Celtics, Heat, Cavaliers, Rockets, Lakers, Timberwolves, Knicks, Trail Blazers and Raptors as 10 potential suitors.
