NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch opened up about personal and career challenges during a recent appearance on FOX News Media’s “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast. The veteran driver discussed key moments from his racing career, including rivalries and a serious crash, while also providing a detailed account of his family’s IVF journey.

The conversation highlighted both his professional experiences and the difficulties he and his wife, Samantha, faced while trying to have children. NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch provided clear and direct answers, focusing on real events that shaped his life on and off the track.

NASCAR Cup Series Driver Kyle Busch Reflects on Career Incidents

During the interview, NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch revisited several moments that defined his racing career. He spoke about his rivalries with Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Brad Keselowski, which led to multiple on-track incidents over the years.

He also reflected on the 2015 crash during an Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway. The accident resulted in two broken legs for him, sidelining him from competition for much of the season. NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch later returned after recovery and continued his career.

Busch mentioned his past on-track contact with Dale Earnhardt Jr., which remains one of the more discussed moments from his time in NASCAR.

Kyle Busch Details IVF Journey

The discussion shifted when host Sean Hannity raised the topic of IVF. Hannity said, “I have a best friend, and his wife just had this little baby, Cooper, the cutest kid on earth, but they had it with IVF. So I’m a big proponent of it. And then I saw that you and your wife, your wife’s very outspoken about it—and you guys went through that. It’s not easy, by the way.”

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch responded by explaining the challenges involved. “We did, yeah. No, it’s an emotional and stressful journey, that’s for sure. It takes the most out of you.”

He said both of their children were conceived through IVF. “We had our son and daughter, both were IVF. Brexton was the first embryo; everything went fine with him. Samantha’s birth was great; all that stuff was fine. And then it took us six tries for Lennox, who is the seventh. We actually had to go in for a second embryo retrieval.”

Hannity added context about the process. “By the way, all of this is hard. A retrieval, they give you all these hormones, they’re giving you shots, right?”

Busch explained that both he and his wife faced fertility challenges. “None of it, yeah, so it wasn’t—it was male factor and female factor. So we both had issues. The doctor was like, ‘You guys, yeah, it’s never going to happen,’ right?”

Busch Explains IVF Costs and Support Work

NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch also spoke about the financial side of IVF. “So when we went through it, you know, 2015 was the first time for Brexton, and then 2022 Lennox came, it was $20,000 to $25,000 a cycle, and it’s only getting higher.”

He said the experience led to the creation of their support initiative. “So we have our own fund that we do, the Bundle of Joy Fund, that we raise money for. And we also raise awareness, just what it’s all about and how to help and things like that, where people can go, clinics and all that.”

Busch described the results of the program. “We’ve raised over $2 million, given away over $2 million to other families to be able to go through IVF journeys of their own. We’ve got over 120 babies born now.”

The interview focused on both racing and personal challenges, with NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Busch providing details about events that shaped his career and family life.
