NASCAR officials have confirmed the full prize purse for the 2026 AdventHealth 400 weekend at Kansas Speedway, offering a clear view of the financial scale tied to one of the season’s key races. According to veteran reporter Bob Pockrass, the NASCAR Cup Series event will carry a total purse of $11,233,037.

The race is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, and will run 267 laps on the 1.5-mile oval. The figure includes all earnings linked to the event, including payouts tied to results and team participation. The Kansas race is the ninth points event of the 2026 season and continues a pattern of consistent purse figures across multiple Cup races this year.

NASCAR Cup Series Purse Breakdown at Kansas Speedway

The $11,233,037 purse for the NASCAR Cup Series covers several financial elements tied to race weekend. These include payments based on finishing position, contingency awards, contributions to the season points fund, and charter-based payouts distributed to teams.

The number aligns with purse totals from other events earlier in the 2026 calendar. Races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Las Vegas Motor Speedway reported similar figures, showing a steady structure in race payouts. Kansas also reflects a small increase compared to previous seasons. The May 2025 race at the same track paid $11,055,250, while the fall race later that year dropped to about $9.8 million.

The charter system plays a central role in how the purse is distributed. Chartered teams receive guaranteed revenue based on participation and past results. This system ensures that full-time teams have financial support throughout the season and contributes significantly to the total purse value.

NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Purse and Race Details

The race weekend at Kansas Speedway will also include the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, which has a confirmed purse of $1,753,590. This total includes payouts tied to finishing results and other race-related earnings for teams competing in that event.

The difference between the two series is reflected in the confirmed figures. The Cup Series purse is higher due to its position as NASCAR’s top division and its broader commercial structure. The O’Reilly series operates as a national touring series with a smaller financial distribution.

The AdventHealth 400 will cover 267 laps, totaling more than 400 miles on the Kansas oval. The track features progressive banking and a wide racing surface, allowing drivers to run multiple lines during the race. This setup has consistently produced competitive racing conditions at the venue.

Practice and qualifying sessions will take place ahead of race day to determine the starting lineup. The race is set to air on FOX at 2:00 p.m. ET. The confirmed purse figures provide a clear view of the financial stakes as teams prepare for another points-paying event in the 2026 season.

How the 2026 Kansas Purse Compares to Other Races

The $11,233,037 purse for the NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas matches figures seen at several events this season. Races at Atlanta, Phoenix, Bristol, and Circuit of the Americas have all reported similar totals, showing a consistent payout structure across the schedule.

The Kansas figure also reflects a slight increase compared to previous races at the same track. The May 2025 event paid $11,055,250, while the September 2025 race had a purse of about $9.8 million. These numbers confirm steady year-over-year growth.

However, the Kansas payout is lower than the season’s largest event. The Daytona 500 offered a record $31,045,575 purse, more than double the Kansas total. That event also contributed to the first five races of the 2026 season, combining for about $87.2 million in total purses. Kansas remains in line with standard race payouts rather than special-event levels.
