The Minnesota Vikings still have a need at the wide receiver position following the 2026 NFL Draft. After seeing Jalen Nailor leave town to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency, the team could use another weapon.
As of right now, the Vikings have Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison penciled in as their top two wide receivers. Behind those two players, they have Tai Felton as their No. 3.
Felton is capable of playing a role this season. However, the reality of the situation is that he would not be an ideal No. 3 wideout.
Keeping that in mind, there have been a lot of rumors surrounding free agent wide receiver Jauan Jennings. There has been speculation that Minnesota might be the front-runner to sign the former San Francisco 49ers star.
A new update has been shared about Jennings from Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. He has reported that Jennings is looking for No. 2 wide receiver money. That could be a bit too expensive for the Vikings.
Minnesota fans did not hesitate sharing their feelings about the Jennings update.

There is no telling whether or not a team would be willing to give Jennings that kind of money. Some of his bargaining power is gone due to still being a free agent this late.
Jennings would be an excellent addition for the Vikings. He would be a dangerous No. 3 option for Kyler Murray or whoever ends up starting at quarterback.
Last season with the 49ers, the 28-year-old wide receiver played in 15 games. He caught 55 passes for 643 yards and nine touchdowns. Jennings racked up 77 catches for 975 yards and six scores back in 2024.
Only time will tell whether or not Minnesota can get a deal done with him. It’s unlikely the Vikings are going to pay him the WR2 money that he desires, but they could still work out a lucrative contract for him, even if it is for just one season.
Expect to hear more news about Jennings in the near future. With the offseason moving forward quickly, it would be surprising if he doesn’t sign with a new team soon.
