We’ve recently added Maturity Assessments as a tool to guide our customers through the Structure stage, alongside over 150 action points that cover all the key areas that need to be addressed to develop a mature Mendix practice in your organization. While the Start phase remains linear and consistent for every new Mendix customer, the Structure phase introduces greater flexibility and personalization, ensuring your roadmap evolves to match your unique needs.

Here’s what makes this release so exciting:

• Maturity Assessments: Every organization can chart its own growth path. The Maturity Assessment provides a snapshot of where you stand based off a standardized benchmark using the 5 Ps—People, Platform, Portfolio, Process, and Promotion.
• Tailored Guidance: Based off your Maturity Assessment results, your organization will receive personalized action points in a six-month roadmap aimed at helping you optimize every layer of your Mendix practice.

What is Mendix Compass?

Think of Compass as your organization’s personal low-code roadmap. Built directly into the Mendix platform, Compass combines over 20 years of low-code expertise with actionable guidance to help you build apps faster, work smarter, and scale efficiently. Whether you’re just starting or already have some applications live, Compass helps you to maximize the impact of Mendix in your organization.

What makes Compass valuable is the depth of knowledge and practical guidance it provides. We include templates, examples, and other best practices so that you can build on the shoulders of giants. By providing this structured, diagnostic approach, Compass expedites your success, showing you what has repeatedly worked successfully and minimizes wasted effort and time trying to discover that for yourself.

With recent enhancements to the Structure stage, Compass supports organizations not just in starting their low-code practices but also in building them out effectively and preparing for an eventual move into large-scale development.
