We are currently using the web as homescreen app in iphone where in the assignee section we can’t enter the assignee name and the dropdown menu doesn’t show the user name

Kindly fix this bug to get a dropdown menu which shows all the users or enable us to search

i don’t really understand this bug description but it sounds like it might be similar to Add user to list modal often appears above the mobile viewport sceen

well it’s different let me explain it in details:

I use an open source discourse and add it to my home screen (iPhone & Andriod)

I have the assignee plugin added where it will be used to assign posts to the users

Unfortunately, in iPhone when I click on the 3 dots and try to assign to another user I’m unable to search for the user name since all the users doesn’t appear in the dropdown

Kindly fix the bug

if i am understanding your complaint, that’s not a bug that’s by design. for many forums listing all members in a dropdown would be unreasonably a pain to scroll, especially on mobile. you have to type in the field to to start the user list search.

So, compared to the bug report Lilly created a few hours ago about lots of places where it is impossible to select users using a phone, you only experience this problem in the modal to assign posts to users? It’s not a problem for you if you want to add a user to a group or invite them to a personal message?

Can you share a screenshot of what you see when the search doesn’t work?
