Valgrind issue with fresh install

Yesterday, January 9, 2026, I wanted to install Valgrind. I have a fresh installation of the latest CachyOS with an up-to-date system. When I installed Valgrind using paru -S valgrind and then wanted to try it out, I got the error message shown in the screenshot. After installing the dependency glibc-debug from the CachyOS repositories, the problem was solved. Why isn’t glibc-debug marked as a dependency when the package doesn’t work without it?
