More on Today's Markets:
Intel has already run wild without the company actually delivering the blowout results warranting a 20%+ gain following earnings. Investors need to pump the brakes and realize the investment story at the chip giant hasn't actually improved anywhere near warranting a nearly 300% gain over the last year.
Micron's pricing power, margin expansion, and persistent supply shortages signal an earnings upcycle with multi-year visibility from AI and hyperscaler demand.
Of course, I find the bear scenario as unlikely as the bull one. But the base case suggests that entry at this level before the next report is released is not warranted. The most reasonable course of action for non-shareholders is to wait for confirmation that the earnings call at least matches the market's vibe. For a shareholder, trimming would also make sense at this level.
Broadcom has an impressive portfolio of assets. The company is almost a conglomerate of large tech assets, with quality assets like VMware that it recently added to its portfolio. That resulted in Broadcom climbing to its current valuation right around the $2 trillion mark. It's a lofty valuation that Broadcom has to grow into.
Nebius must deliver about 45% 8-year revenue CAGR to support the current valuation, while consensus implies an even steeper path, making execution risk and revenue beats critical.
