This is an abridged transcript.

NextEra Energy (NEE) is in talks to acquire Dominion Energy (D) in a mostly stock transaction that could value Dominion at roughly $66 billion.

Bloomberg News reported Sunday, citing people familiar with the matter, if completed, the merger would become the largest utility acquisition on record and one of the biggest M&A deals of 2026.

The proposed agreement could be announced as early as today.

Under the terms being discussed, NextEra would offer about 0.8 of its own shares for each Dominion share, along with a modest cash component. Existing NextEra investors would own roughly three-quarters of the combined company.

The Financial Times first reported on the prospective deal on Saturday.

Including debt, the transaction would carry an enterprise value of about $116 billion, highlighting the growing scale of consolidation in the U.S. power industry.

A combination with Dominion would significantly expand NextEra’s footprint in the PJM Interconnection grid, the nation’s largest wholesale electricity market. The region includes Northern Virginia, home to the world’s largest concentration of data centers, where electricity demand has accelerated sharply.

No final agreement has been reached and negotiations could still collapse or change, Bloomberg News reported.

Dominion shares closed Friday at $61.73 with a market value of about $54 billion. NextEra ended the session at $93.36, valuing the Florida-based company at roughly $195 billion.

Dominion is up 12% in premarket action while NextEra is down 2.6%.

Bitcoin Depot (BTM) has filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

The company said its network of Bitcoin ATMs has been taken offline and that it has filed several customary “first day” motions with the court to support the restructuring process.

CEO Alex Holmes said increasingly stringent compliance obligations, transaction restrictions, litigation, and regulatory enforcement actions have materially impacted the company’s business and financial position, adding that “under these circumstances, the company’s current business model is unsustainable.”

Bitcoin Depot said its Canadian entities are part of the U.S. court-supervised process and are expected to begin restructuring proceedings in Canada, while other international operations will be wound down under applicable foreign laws.

Starbucks (SBUX) is eliminating another 300 corporate positions and closing some regional offices amid a push to streamline the organization, reduce operational complexity, and create a more profitable business.

This marks the third round of layoffs since last year.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday, Starbucks (SBUX) confirmed that the board approved further actions under its “Back to Starbucks” strategy to pursue $2B in cost-savings initiatives, with a majority to be completed by the end of this fiscal year.

Of the ~$400M of restructuring charges to be incurred, ~$280M will be non-cash charges due to impairment of long-lived assets, and the remaining $120M will be cash charges tied to the workforce reduction.

The latest round of layoffs will impact corporate roles in Seattle and remote positions located around the U.S. The company recently announced plans to open a new $100M corporate office in Nashville, which will employ 2K employees, mostly in technology and supply chain positions.

At the same time, Starbucks (SBUX) is closing regional offices in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and Burbank, California.
