Fred Egler: Alright, everyone. Thanks so much for joining us today. Really happy to do another webinar here today for Seeking Alpha Premium. My name is Fred. I'm the Lead Product Manager for Premium and PRO here at Seeking Alpha, and I'm joined today by Brandon Dat, who's the Senior PM for Premium and PRO as well. Really excited to be here. And, yeah, just as a reminder, the webinar will be recorded and sent out within a few days after this call. And so you'll get an email notification whenever it's sent out to you. And, yeah, we're really excited to do a live walk through of some valuable capabilities on the Premium platform, have you understand how to research stocks and generate investment ideas a little bit more efficiently, and demo some new and exciting features as well. So, we're really excited about that.

Before we jump into that, I'm just going to go ahead and share my screen to read a brief disclosure.

So, past performance is no guarantee of future results. Any views or opinions expressed in the webinar do not reflect those of Seeking Alpha as a whole. Any content and tools on the platform are offered for information purposes only. Seeking Alpha portfolio is a tool for tracking news and analysis and does not constitute a brokerage account or enable any trading activity. Seeking Alpha does not take account of your objectives or financial situation and does not offer any personalized investment advice. Seeking Alpha is not a licensed securities dealer, broker, US investment adviser, or investment bank.

And so with that, we'll go ahead and get started with our product demo here. Just want to call out again. The webinar will be recorded and sent out a few days afterwards, and we will leave time at the end for a Q&A. So, if you have questions, please go ahead and type them into the chat as soon as you think of them. Don't wait until the end of the call to type your questions in. Please type your questions into the chat as soon as they come up, and we will get to them after we do our demo. So, we're very excited about that. And with that, I'll go ahead and turn it over to Brandon for a bit to do an exciting product walk through. So, Brandon, take it away.

Brandon Dat: Yeah. Thanks so much, Fred. So, guys, as I go through this, just want to give you a heads up that some of you may have access to this right now, others may not. Don't get alarmed. It'll be there shortly. We will try to provide a link in the chat as well that you can get added to this testing group. With that being said, this is the new redesigned portfolio dividends dashboard. Essentially, the goal here is to take what was previously a heavy table driven experience and turn it into something that's a clear actionable income layer for our dividend investors.

So, what are we looking to understand? How much income are you generating? When are you getting paid? And how sustainable is that income over a period of time? So, just to kick start, we'll start at the income calendar, which is in the top left section over here. And starting with this, this is essentially the core of the experience. It visualizes when dividend events are happening across your portfolio. So, rather than forcing users to look at individual stocks, this is one comprehensive, area.

Now, distinguishing three very important concepts within the income calendar is the ex-dividend date, the dividend actual, and the dividend estimate. You can see that it's displayed right under the table, and it's color coordinated. So, the ex-dividend date is essentially the cutoff date. So, if you own a stock before this date, you would be eligible to receive that dividend. For the dividend actual, which is the lighter green color, this represents confirmed payments that have already been paid out. So, this is the real income that's received. For dividend estimate, this is more of a forward looking projection based on the most recent dividend amount and the payout frequency.

Now, if you want to look at this in a more granular level, if we were to click view income details, you'll see that there are multiple views that are open. The first one is the monthly calendar view, which is a fully expanded monthly calendar. It has the same color coded system. And in the case that there are more symbols within each area, there's a show more option. In this case, it doesn't display. But if you click that, it would show the whole pay schedule.

There's also a table view as well. If we were to navigate to the table view and this is interchangeable at the top section, you'll be able to provide a more structured break – you will be provided a more structured breakdown of the actual payments. So, the idea is for past dates, pre-May. Those are actual confirmed payments. For future dates, those are estimated dividends. And so, the table is both a backward looking and forward looking feature. So, the idea here is that our forecasted dividends are based on prior dividend amounts and expected frequency, and it is subject to change if companies update their payouts or if some is irregular.

Moving forward on to the second section, which is the portfolio key dividend metrics, and it's the top bar that gives an overall breakdown of your portfolio. So, you'll get the estimated annual income, the average yield, yield on cost, dividend growth, and your beta. Essentially, this is just a quick snapshot of both income and risk characteristics.

The third section of this dashboard is the average dividend safety score, which is to the right of the income calendar. And this measures how sustainable your portfolio dividend income actually is. So, it's essentially aggregated safety scores across holdings based on underlying factors such as payout ratios, earning stabilities, etcetera. The idea here is that it's also color coordinated, green being safe, yellow being moderate, red being risky. And then clicking into this will navigate you to the health score tab, and that's where you can get a deeper analysis and a deeper dive into your portfolio. So, it takes you directly to the health score, and then you can have the granular items as you scroll through.

The next section is the portfolio composition. And essentially, this breaks down how the portfolio is allocated based on dividend yield categories. So it can be high, medium, low, and then obviously no yield. So, clicking this, clicking view holding details will navigate you to the holdings tab for a full breakdown. So, it's a great spot for you to navigate everything dividends oriented.

Moving forward to the income goal, which is the card directly below the income calendar, and this is where you essentially get to have a user defined income goal. And that's essentially how much do you really want to earn annually from your dividends. You can set that number. You can set the target safety grade, and then we will see that projection. So, we can update that number at any point in time, and you will see the updated metrics below.

In addition to that, we have additional content cards. So, essentially, we have high dividend yield stocks in this category, and then we have Top Quant dividend stocks as well. So, those are two areas that you can click into, get somewhat of an inspiration for a different screen that you can somewhat utilize and maybe populate your portfolio accordingly. With that being said, similar to the older dividend dashboard, we do have this charting system as well that remains consistent.

So, this is overall the new portfolio dividend experience. So, as you guys get some time, we'd love for you guys to play around and would love your feedback if you have any once you start using it.

FE: Amazing. Thank you, Brandon. Looks awesome. And I think, if you wouldn't mind just sharing for one more second there just to show users how to navigate that. As Brandon said, this is under a gradual rollout right now. So, if you don't see it, I put a link into the chat. And if you click on that link, you can navigate to a portfolio. So, Brandon, if you go to the left there, you can see on the left side of the screen under portfolios, you can click on any of your portfolios. And then from there, once you're there, you'll need to click into the dividends tab.

So, once you click from the left nav into a portfolio, you'll then need to click into the dividends tab to actually see this new rolled out dashboard. And so, it will be rolling out gradually to people if you don't see it in your account. As I said, you can click the link in the chat that I sent and perform the navigation I just described, and you'll be able to go ahead and get to the dividends page and see all the exciting things that Brandon just walked through. So, really excited about that. Thank you very much, Brandon.

BD: Sure thing.

FE: One other new roll out before we get into Q&A that I wanted to bring up is our new refer a friend offering. So, we've basically just changed our refer a friend offering to be more advantageous to Premium subscribers. I'm sharing my screen. And what you can see is, an updated credit or thank you for existing subscribers. Essentially, you can invite family and friends to Premium. They'll get a 14-day free trial of Premium so they can explore the benefits of premium. And then if they'd like Premium and decide to stick around for a full subscription, you as the referrer would earn a $25 account credit. And so, that account credit would be automatically applied to your next purchase or your next subscription renewal. And so, that's just a way for us to say thank you for being a Premium subscriber.

You can go into the settings of your Premium account and basically access your referral link. I'll put that in the chat as well. One second. So, I just put that into the chat, and, basically, you can head to that link, copy your personalized individual referral link, and share that with people who might be interested in figuring out their investment strategy, signing up for Premium. And, basically, like I said, they'll have a 2-week free trial. If they decide to be a full priced subscription member, then you would get a $25 account credit. And you can refer multiple people so that account credit can compound. You can get $25, $50, $75, $100 in that sense towards your next subscription.

So, it's a good way to basically go ahead and share the wealth, but also a good way to say thank you for us as a subscriber. So, just wanted to share that new offering for our refer a friend offering.

And so, with that, I think we can jump into some of the questions.

So, one of the questions I saw was about the, like, detailed tutorials for new subscribers. So, we do have detailed tutorials in what we call the video hub. So, I'm going to go ahead and share my screen and show that quickly. Okay. So, I am on the Seeking Alpha homepage right now. And if I want to go to the video hub, what I would do is, basically, do slash videos in the search bar, and that would take me to the video hub. So, I'm on seekingalpha.com/videos right now, and this is where all of our video content from Steve Cress, his videos to Top Stocks events to Investing Experts, Quant Research, 2 Minute Analysis, and Premium How To videos.

So, I’ve actually put this link in the chat already, but there's a section in the video hub specific to these webinars that we do on a regular basis. So, if you go into that Premium How To section, you'll see a list of all the getting started videos that we've created, these webinars, these office hour webinars that we've created where you can basically click into them and see new features that we've offered, see updated features, see how existing features work. You can see these range from anywhere from, like, the webinars we're doing today that are, like, 30 minutes to really quick one minute videos on how a specific feature works. So, we've got, like I said, 28-minute videos, 1-minute videos.

And the good part about this is, you can actually follow this playlist. So, you can see at the top of this page, there's a follow button. If you click on follow, you'll be subscribed to receive alerts whenever there are videos posted here. So, not only will you get an alert when this webinar recording is available, but if you follow this page, you'll get alerts whenever we post a shorter video on how various products on the site work.

So, it's a really helpful spot to be able to go and get started with some of our videos, especially if I'm just scrolling down to see maybe one that I'd recommend, this one called getting started with Premium. I'm going to copy that, and I'm going to put that into the chat right now in case anyone is interested in checking that out.

Alright. I see another question in here. Can I import my portfolio into Seeking Alpha?

So, yes, you can import your portfolio into Seeking Alpha. There's a couple ways you can do that. You do that by starting in this create portfolio button here on the left. So, if I click on create portfolio, it's going to bring up couple of different options for me to import my portfolio. So, the first one is just by clicking create portfolio. You would go through and actually just manually add stocks to your portfolio, anything you are invested in. And, basically, if you hit next, you would then add the individual shares for that portfolio on this add lots page. So, that's one place to do it. I'm going to just go back out of this and actually delete this and get back to the create portfolio modal.

The other option is to link your broker. So, you can basically, using our secure link broker feature, enter your brokerage account on here like Fidelity, like Schwab, E-Trade, Vanguard, Robinhood, all of the big brokers. You can go ahead and select one of these and actually link using your broker credentials, which, again, is secure, and we do not have access to that in any way. You can link your portfolio here and basically see your portfolio update in real time once it's linked to Seeking Alpha and get ratings alerts and get analysis on the stocks in your portfolio in real time. So, that's through the link broker option, which is the second option.

Then the third option here is uploading a CSV. So, you can actually just upload a CSV using a regular CSV file with a symbol, quantity, cost, and date columns, which is limited to 500 symbols. But if you upload a CSV, you can go ahead and do that and basically do the exact same thing that I mentioned, get alerts and ratings on your stocks in your portfolio as well.

Just as a call out, we are working on some improvements to this upload CSV flow where we'd be able to upload, potentially more types of files and make it easier for you to upload in the future. So, that's something that we are working on and looking to improve. But those are the three main ways that you can import your portfolio. You can do it manually, like I said. You can connect automatically your brokerage, or you can upload a CSV, in here as well.

Another person asked, how can I check the weight for any stock in my portfolio?

So, that's a really good question. I'm going to back out of this flow, and I'm going to go to, let's say, my income portfolio on the left. So, you can see I clicked income portfolio here on the left. You can see I'm also in the dividends, the new dividends dashboard in my account. And I can actually see the weight of each one of my holdings by going to this holdings tab, which is next to the dividends tab at the top here.

Actually, you can reorder these tabs if you want for additional customization, but this is the default order that they come in. And if you click on holdings, it'll show you some more granular details about the holdings in your portfolio, specifically the numbers of shares that you entered in, the cost of each one if you entered the cost, and then you can see the weight next to each one of those as well.

So, the weight is set up for each one of these based on what's in my portfolio. It's a column in the holdings category. You can sort by weight, so you can see what you have the most in your portfolio. You can see what you have the least in. And so, if you scroll all the way down, obviously, you can see other metrics related to your portfolio in the total category, like today's total gain, estimated annual income, and things of that nature. And that's beneficial again just as another helpful metric. And you can also if you toggle to the All Holdings page, you can see the weight of all your holdings across portfolios.

So, I'm going to go ahead and click All Holdings here. I clicked on the name of my portfolio, and I'm going to select all holdings. And you can basically see there's a weight column here for all the holdings across all portfolios.

Now, you need to have the actual shares entered for all of your portfolios, but you can see the weight of all your portfolios on this All Holdings page, which is helpful if, for example, you maybe have the same stock in multiple portfolios. This is easy to cross reference and calculate, what the weight is overall across all of your portfolios. So, on the All Holdings page, you can actually see the overall weight across all portfolios, and you can see it individually, in the individual holdings page on the holdings tab there.

Okay. Other questions. Still getting some questions about the dividend dashboard link that I sent in there. So, you have to click the link in the chat, and then once you click the link in the chat, it's taking you to the home page here. Once you get here, you then have to click into one of your portfolios on the left nav. So, you click the link in the chat, brings you to the home page, then you'll click on a link, a portfolio in the left nav, for example, income, and then you'll click the dividends tab right here, and that will basically show you the new dashboard, based on how your portfolio is set up. So, it's a multistep process there to make sure that you go ahead and see that access. And like I said, we're rolling this out gradually to people across the entire subscriber base very, very soon.

Let's see. What other questions do we have? Here's a question. Is there a way to see the history of my portfolio against the index?

So, there is a way to do that, and that's through our custom portfolio views and through the benchmarking, data points that we have. So, you can see each one of these tabs, summary, ratings, holdings. They have columns of different data points. If you click on Add/Edit Views, you're able to actually set custom columns. So, these are what we've set up for you, but you can actually customize your own by clicking on Add/Edit Views to create a custom tab, essentially.

And so, what you could do is, basically go to add edit views, and then we have all these categories on the left. So, we have ratings, factor grades, dividend grades, ETF grades, holdings, after hours, tons of different things. And one of the categories we have here is called benchmarks. And so, basically, what you could do is select a benchmark to check out your return in your portfolio. So, you can see the return versus the SPY, versus VTI, QQQ. There's a lot of different comparisons in here, and you can reorder them in an order that you'd like.

You can remove some items. I'll keep all of those. And you can add other things, like if you wanted to see, for example, the Quant Rating, the SA Analyst Rating, how long the Quant Rating has been at that level, so consecutive days, the number of analysts covering the tickers in your portfolio. You can choose, anything you want in here, basically. And I'm going to hit done, and it's going to ask me if I actually want to apply that view to all of my portfolios or just the one that I went into.

I'm just going to keep it to this one that I went into. I'm going to hit apply selected portfolios, and you can see that the return versus SPY and QQQ overtime has populated. It's not looking great because this is a income portfolio based on a couple of years of holding. So, not looking great from that perspective for most of these. But you can basically, again, track your portfolio overtime compared to different benchmarks, and that's how you would do it here versus different ones.

And you can see I added the Quant Rating in here, which you can see all of these are Strong Buys. You can see I added the SA Analyst Rating, and then I added this days at rating column. So, basically, you can see, for example, Pine, has been at a Strong Buy for a 100 days. And then if I sort by SA Analysts covering, you can see that, for example, RTX has been, has 8 analysts covering that stock right now, and it's at a Hold at this point. So, that's just a way to get the specific and custom data that you want in your portfolio and how you can track your portfolio over time against a benchmark like SPY or QQQ or VTI.

Let's see what else we have in here. Someone asked how you edit a tag in the custom group. So, actually, one interesting feature we also have in portfolios is this group by feature. If I click on group by, which is on the right, I can actually put these different tickers in different categories, like sector. So, if I click sector, you can see now they're broken out by communication services, energy, financials, things like that.

You can do other ones like country. So, this is basically all United States, by asset type, so REIT and stocks by industry. So, you can see there's a big breakdown in industries in here. And then you can also do it by custom.

So, you can actually create your own custom groupings. So, when you go in here, you can set up what you'd like and tag certain stocks and categorize them as certain groups. So we have a little bit of a walk through here that shows you how to do it. And if you hit next, you can basically set them up by typing in the tags here yourself. So, I'm going to type in maybe, like, buy more as a tag and then sell this as a tag. And then I can go in one by one and basically tag each one, buy more, sell this, buy more. And, basically, you can essentially set up categories for your stocks and categorize them yourself.

And so, when you do that, you'll then see, once I hit done, if I go into this group by on the right and sort by custom, you can now see that my portfolio is categorized by the stocks that I highlighted as buy more, the stocks that I highlighted as sell. And then, I still, I didn't indicate a few. You can also leave some not indicated as well.

So, that's a good way to just really add customization and categorize the stocks in your portfolio the way that you want to. You can, for example, do it like you're looking to invest more, you're looking to sell, or maybe you bought them at a certain time period or something like that. Just provides you with more customization there.

And any other points, I'm looking through here? Someone mentioned weight is blank for all my holdings. You do have to manually enter in your holdings to make sure that you can see those. So, in order to see the weight of your holdings, like if I go to All Holdings here, you can see some of mine are blank. That's because I didn't enter in holdings for all of these, but the ones that show up are the ones that I did enter holdings for. You can enter holdings in a portfolio by going into portfolio on the left. So, you can see I went ahead and hit gold screener.

I'm going to hit edit portfolio at the top. And then at the bottom of that modal, I can hit edit lots. And that brings up a worksheet for me to go ahead and edit or add holdings to my portfolio, and I can enter in the date that's different as well. And that would give me the ability to, again, once I hit save there, and now you can see I have cost, I have shares, I have the weight. And once you add holdings through this edit portfolio button, you'll be able to see that in there.

So, want to make sure that we end on time here. Please make sure to check out the dividend dashboard feature that Brandon walked through. It's very exciting. We're going to be rolling it out more and more to all customers quite soon. I sent the link in the chat to make sure that you can click that link and access it. I'll actually just send it one more time in case anyone didn't see it.

And then this recording will be sent out soon after the call today, and you'll get a notification making sure that you go in there and access it. And don't forget about our refer a friend offering, that's available out there too to get you a $25 credit towards a future subscription. And thank you very much for joining everyone, and we hope to do one of these again very, very soon.

BD: Thanks, everyone. Take care.
