EXCLUSIVE: AF México has acquired the rights to remake Follemente, one of the highest-grossing Italian films of 2025, for Latin America. 

AF México locked the deal with Leone Film Group. The Mexican adaptation will be titled Love and Mind.

Directed by Alfonso Pineda Ulloa, the film’s cast will be led by Casandra Sánchez Navarro, Alfonso Borbolla, Leonardo Ortizgris, Jesús Zavala, Solkin Ruz, Sofía Niño de Rivera, Danae Reynaud, and Adriana Montes de Oca.

The story follows Alejandro and Karla, two young people trying to impress each other on their first date. The official synopsis continues: However, inside their minds, chaos reigns supreme: the different personalities living within them — the romantic, the rational, the insecure, and the passionate — constantly battle for control, unleashing a whirlwind of thoughts, emotions, and contradictions.

Love and Mind is the latest title from the Madrid-based AF, which has been busy in recent months. The company is next set to launch Until the End of the World, starring Aislinn Derbez and Mauricio Ochmann, this summer. The film will be distributed by Buena Vista International starting July 23. The company’s credits also include Above and Below starring Antonio Banderas; Last Days, in collaboration with MUBI and London’s Royal Opera House; and Sorry Baby. 

Follemente was one of the highest-grossing films of 2025 in Italy. The project came from writer-director Paolo Genovese (Perfect Strangers). Edoardo Leo and Pilar Fogliati led that film.
